the Gentlemen of Bacongo
Apparently there’s a group of gents in the Congo that battle each other with style.
This was fascinating to me.

Vivian Maier - street photography 100000 negs
Vivian Maier was a nanny in Chicago who also a photographer.
She passed away in 2009 and left 100000 negatives, largely undeveloped.
Shooting on a Rolleiflex and simply looking at her work, she is as good as good any master.
A video of how this story is unfolding.

Takedown Fight Media is live
Thought i’d share some work with everyone.
The Takedown website is finally up.
The photography is done by Andre Pinces, the website and design, by Paul Higgins of Nomag, and the video by yours truly, Arcade Original. Can’t remember where we got the fight footage from, sorry.

Turn It Loose
Director Alastair Siddons - who shot music vids for Roots Manuva, The Streets etc - documented the experiences of 6 b-boys as they competed in the 2007 Red Bull BC One Championship (only 16 of the world’s best were invited). Love that the stories behind the competitors (a rarity) are set against the rugged cityscape of Soweto.
The world premier of this flick was in June...

Forbes Interviews Warren Buffett and Jay Z
OK, so big ups to Forbes for putting these two icons together (albeit in a stodgy setting) as they touch on topics like Circle of Competence, Emotional Stability, Margins of Safety, stocks, home runs, success, finding truth, consistency, shiny things and giving back. (You’ll wannna open this up to full screen as the player is kinda busted...
